The main purpose behind the Mongol Rally is to raise as much money as possible for the rally charities and we are indebted to those of you who have sponsored us by way of donations to Send A Cow and Mercy Corps. The minimum sponsorship required is £1000, to be split between the two charities, and we are delighted to say that thanks to your generosity, this target has not only been met, but exceeded.
We are extremely grateful to those of you who have sponsored Toby and I personally, either financially or ‘in kind’. Your generosity will make our journey to Mongolia a whole lot more comfortable.

Simon, your technical advice and guidance has prepared us well for most eventualities that we will encounter on our journey. Hopefully, we will not need to use the spares! Rest assured, we will try to avoid the pot-holes in Kazakhstan or at least, hit them slowly!
Andrew, your generosity will enable us to spend a night or two in comparative luxury. The lure of a bath and a soft bed will be very welcome following many nights couped up in our tent – should make us smell a whole lot fresher too!
Jason, the artwork is brilliant! What better way to spread the names of our generous sponsors a third of the way around the world.
Craig and Dave, the Jerry cans will keep the three of us topped up with liquid refreshment (must make sure we don’t drink Mel’s and she ours!). The lights will enable us to see the pot-holes before we hit them and the tyres will be essential should one sneak up on us unexpectedly.
The tent will provide us with a home when we smell so much that no self-respecting hotel will take us in! The multi-fuel stove will save us from starvation when we are stranded miles from anywhere (hopefully not!).
Although we intend to have a great time, the real purpose of the Mongol Rally is to raise heaps of dosh to help people far less fortunate than ourselves. Your generous donations to Mercy Corps and Send a Cow will enable them to continue with their brilliant work.
Caroline, even though we will be travelling a long way East, it is important to make sure we look the part. The high quality t-shirt prints that you did will ensure that we look the part!
