Bollox

Bollox - The ultimate in low-cost off-road fun. Currently she is in the process of being resurrected to compete again after spending a year sitting in a barn with only mice for company. Before this, however, she spent the best part of 8 years in pieces stored in garages across Great Britian and Ireland and was re-built using as many of the original parts as possible, making the vehicle very cheap to build and maintain. Bollox is fitted with a rover 3.6 V8 engine mounted to a series 2 chassis which still bears the original leaf springs making for a very reliable machine.
Bollox competed in the Cross Country Vehicles trials and the Competitive Safari at the 2005 ARC nationals held by the Southern Rover Owners Club. Bowlocks finished the Cross Country Vehicle Trial but unfortunately crashed out of the Competitive Safari due to bad weather and a tree!
Jezabelle

Jezzabelle is a series 2 landrover, fitted with a winch and a Landrover 300 TDI engine, all the other parts on this landrover are standard. she is owned by Piers and Keri Montague who are both very experienced off-road drivers. She gets here name from the fact that everyone seems to lose their off-road virginity in her!!
Sharky

Sharky is one of the newest editions to the team. she was a completely standard series 2 with a standard 2.25 ltr petrol engine until a twisted chassis forced a complete rebuild. She is now equiped with a 3.5ltr Range Rover V8 and axles to include disc brakes and an automatic gearbox and has yet to find her way off road in this confirguration so her performance is an unknown.
Fluffy

Fluffy - An very specialised vehicle used only for Competitive Safari's, this vehicle competes in both ARC and All-wheel Drive club races across the country. Fluffy is equipped with a Rover 4.6 V8 and has been measured at +345bhp (but the machine couldn't read any higher!). She has just had a fuel injection system fitted which should improve this figure. The fuel consuption at this power output is measured at a massive 1.5 miles to a gallon! Due to the rising price of petrol Fluffy has been mothbaled and will hopefully return as the price drops and her owner returns from America.
Fido

Fido - so called because of her tendancy to roll over and have her belly rubbed! The roll cage is made from old steam pipe, this raises the centre of gravity and hence the tendancy to roll! Fido has competed in many events across the country from club events to national events including a Competitive Safari in Newnham Park, Devon in 2002 finishing in 40th place out of 80 starters. Pretty good for a vehicle over 40 years old! Unfortunately this top heavy lovely has been put out to pasture due to the change in competion regulations :(
